About

Educator by profession.
Storyteller by nature.

Hirdaya Sharma was born on 3 August 2000 in Kurgha, Parbat District, Gandaki Province, Nepal. He grew up moving between Kurgha, Kushma, Baglung, Simara, Pokhara and Kathmandu, an upbringing shaped by his family's work in hotels and hospitality.

He migrated to Melbourne, Australia in 2019, where he studied early childhood education and management — earning a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care from Holmesglen Institute, a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education from Victoria University, and postgraduate studies in management and learning at Newton College.

Today he balances three lives: an early childhood teacher and kindergarten manager, a disability support worker, and a bilingual content creator connecting Nepal with the diaspora in Australia.

Bhajan & Culture

Carrying devotional music to a new generation

Hirdaya is closely involved with Melbourne Bhajan, a community initiative built around Hindu devotional music and Nepalese cultural participation — promoting programs, encouraging younger attendees, and using his platform to introduce bhajan traditions to a new generation.

In 2026, he has been part of the team developing a Hindu devotional music festival in Bali, Indonesia, intended as a multicultural, spiritual initiative linking Hindu communities across Australia and Indonesia. Indonesia's national news agency ANTARA described him as a Melbourne-based content creator, presenter and event organiser working with a team and local officials to bring the festival together.
